Pet Therapy

Hospice & Community Care provides pet therapy to patients facing end of life. Certified pet therapy volunteers are available to provide comfort and companionship to patients and their families.

To request pet therapy, please speak with your attending Hospice & Community Care team member.

“For the past 15 years, I have been visiting patients, both in their homes or at the Inpatient Center with my various dogs, Allie and Dash.  The sense of calm, comfort and love they bring to each person they see is immeasurable. As the person on the other end of the leash, I see firsthand the comfort they give by just being a wonderful therapy dog who visits with people who are dealing with difficult times. If you have a dog that fits this description, consider becoming a pet therapy volunteer.” ~ Leslie Gorbey, Pet Therapy Volunteer
