Appreciation Activities

Hospice & Community Care employees go above and beyond each day to care for patients and families who are coping with a life-limiting illness or loss. The organization has a staff-led Employee Appreciation & Activities Committee who works alongside our Human Resources and Leadership teams to ensure that employees feel valued through fun-filled activities. Many of our activities are open to the families of staff members.

  • Book Sale – Staff and volunteers shop for books, enjoy homemade food and try their luck to win raffle baskets, all while supporting two great causes at our annual book sale.
  • Holiday Breakfast – A fun-filled morning filled with laughter, staff celebration and a delicious meal.
  • Ham or turkey – Hospice & Community Care staff are treated to either a ham or turkey to help celebrate the holidays with their loved ones. Extra hams and turkeys are donated to the community to help those in need.
  • Holiday Cards – Our staff and volunteers write holiday cards that are sent to a local Veterans’ hospital to bring smiles to the faces of patients and families.
  • Hospice & Community Care staff show their support for local causes – wearing red on Go Red for the American Heart Association, blue on Children’s Grief Awareness and teal on Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
  • Other activities have included: gingerbread house making, testing our skills at an Escape Room, kayaking, jewelry making and more.
