The Larry and Marian Russell Care at Home Endowment

“I think they would be smiling knowing that what they built is helping someone else through one of life’s hardest moments.”
– Janie Barton
Larry and Marian Russell built a life around the people, places and simple moments they loved most. Their home was the center of it all, a place where they welcomed family and friends, cared for their gardens, watched wildlife, and created lasting memories together.
When Larry was diagnosed with cancer, he was certain about one thing: he wanted to remain at home, surrounded by the familiar sights, sounds, and people he cherished. With Marian by his side and the support of Hospice care, Larry was able to spend his final days in the comfort of home. Later, when Marian faced her own cancer diagnosis, she expressed the same wish. Hospice made it possible for her to remain where she felt most comfortable and at peace while receiving compassionate care that preserved her dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Their experience inspired a lasting legacy.
Created through a generous gift from the Russells’ estate, The Larry and Marian Russell Care at Home Endowment helps patients and families receive hospice and palliative care in the place they most want to be: home. The fund provides support beyond what insurance may cover, including comfort items, specialized equipment, spiritual care, massage therapy, music therapy, and other services that enhance comfort and quality of life. Choices Healthcare has established endowment funds for the purpose of providing income to be used for specific needs. The principal remains invested in order to perpetuate the fund for future generations.
