The Dorothy J. Patterson Garden Endowment Fund

The Dorothy J. Patterson Garden Endowment Fund was created through the generosity of a legacy gift from Robert E. Patterson, in memory of his wife, Dorothy J. Patterson, and their passion for sharing the splendor of nature through the creation of beautiful gardens and landscaping. Bob’s intention for this Fund was not only to honor his wife, but also to provide financial resources to enhance nature and beauty in and around Hospice & Community Care’s facilities. Both Bob and Dorothy were avid gardeners and both were cared for by Hospice & Community Care and this Fund will serve as a lasting tribute to them.

The income from The Dorothy J. Patterson Garden Endowment Fund will provide for the ongoing beautification, maintenance and growth of Hospice & Community Care’s gardens, walkways, benches and exterior features intended for the enjoyment of Hospice patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and staff. The income may be used to purchase and maintain flowers and plants for Hospice & Community Care locations.

The Dorothy J.  Patterson Garden Endowment Fund will provide a measure of comfort and peace to families visiting loved ones at Hospice & Community Care for many years to come.

Hospice & Community Care has established endowment funds for the purpose of providing income to be used for specific needs. The principal remains invested in order to perpetuate the fund for future generations. Gifts may be made to this Fund at any time.
