Education & Library Fund

Income from this endowed fund supports Hospice & Community Care’s education programs and its resource libraries.

To best serve patients and their families and ensure quality care, Hospice & Community Care’s
Education Department provides a comprehensive orientation and training program for new employees, offers courses on a wide variety of end-of-life topics and assists staff in preparing for professional certification examinations.

Hospice & Community Care’s four lending libraries serve its staff, the local professional and medical community, those whose loved ones are hospice patients and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Library resources require ongoing maintenance and replacement as materials become outdated or lost over time. The libraries were developed entirely as a result of donated funds, and are sustained through continued financial support from the community.

Hospice & Community Care, founded as Hospice of Lancaster County, has established endowment funds for the purpose of providing income to be used for specific needs. The principal remains invested in order to perpetuate the fund for future generations.
